What is the inspiration behind your artwork?
To celebrate Chinese New Year and specifically the Year of the Fire Horse, we created and decorated a rug. The decoration nods towards the Fire Horse on the left side of the rug and the right side depicts memories relating to horses, Pony Club, and Chinese zodiac years gone by. For example, some children researched and created their Chinese birth year animal out of felt, others included memorable events and horses (can you spot one child’s memory of trying to get a stubborn pony to move forwards when leading!).
