Championships Accessibility

The Pony Club Championships is a free to attend outdoor event, welcoming spectators from across the country.

We aim to ensure that every visitor can enjoy our event in comfort and with ease. We are committed to offering a variety of facilities, services, and information to help you plan your visit and enjoy your day.

Toilets, Showers & Baby Changing

Standard accessible toilets and baby changing facilities will be available throughout the Championship venue. Disabled Toilets will be available throughout the site. An accessible shower will be in the competitors campsite.

The Pony Club Championships takes place at Offchurch Bury Estate, which is almost entirely grass land with the Horse & Pony Care competition taking place at the stables which are on hard standing.  

While there is a buggy service catering to Members, Volunteers and Supporters, please plan ahead and ensure you have any aids you may need with you. Please note that the buggies are unable to carry wheelchairs. 

The Horse & Pony Care Stables are approximately 10 minutes walk from the Championship Hub and is on hard standing. The buggy service will operate to and from the stables at frequent intervals. Note that there may be a small step into the individual stables. Please alert a volunteer should you need any assistance.

Parking

There is limited accessible parking available on site. These must be applied for in advance through the button below.

Disabled Parking can be applied for in advance using this form by those who possess a Registered Disabled Person’s Car Badge or are temporarily immobile. 

Electronic passes will be issued on submission of this form providing access to disabled parking adjacent to the dressage and show jumping arenas and the secretarial/trade stand area. It will not admit drivers to the Cross Country Course. 

A buggy will provide a regular delivery service from the campsite and day parking area to the Show Jumping and Dressage arenas, the trade stand area and the Cross Country start during the hours of competition. 

If anyone wishes to bring their own Mobility scooters, these should only be used in pedestrian areas.

Hearing Loops

We regret that there will not be hearing loops available for the commentary system at this year’s Championships. This is something we are continuing to investigate and understand for the future.

Roaming Giraffe will again be catering at The Pony Club Championships offering a range of eateries with options for many dietary requirements. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact Roaming Giraffe through their website via the button below.

Seating

A variety of seating will be available in the main Pony Club Championships hub, including picnic benches and grandstand seating. Some limited seating will be available in the prize giving tent. There is no seating in the stables for the Horse & Pony Care Competition.  

Please note that there is no seating on the cross country course. Anyone wishing to sit at the cross country course should bring an appropriate sitting option. Cars other than officials will not be permitted by the cross country course.
