What is a Pony Club Linked Centre?

Pony Club Linked Centres are approved riding schools or equestrian centres that are affiliated with The Pony Club; this means that they can offer Pony Club learning opportunities to the young people that attend the Centre.

The Centre membership scheme allows Members who do not own a horse or pony the ability to access and enjoy all the benefits of The Pony Club. Centre Members are able to access the same training, competition and learning opportunities that Branch Members access.

There are over 350 Linked Centres across the UK and internationally, creating a vibrant, inclusive network of Pony Club Centre Members around the world!

Affiliation with The Pony Club helps your Centre stand out from others, showing a commitment to The Pony Club values ofun, friendship, horsemanship and sport. It also shows parents, guardians, and clients that your Centre is reputable, meets our high standards for safety and training, and is part of a trusted, nationally recognised organisation.

All Pony Club Coaches and active Centre Proprietors must hold an Enhanced Disclosure check, Safeguarding for Equestrians (or equivalent) certificate and a valid First Aid qualification. All Accredited Pony Club coaches also undertake at least one Pony Club approved CPD every year.

Can any riding school become a Linked Centre?

Yes! As long as your riding school meets our standards for Health & Safety, Welfare and Safeguarding (and has a Pony Club Accredited Coach to teach the sessions), any licensed riding school is able to join The Pony Club Linked Centre scheme.

How do I know if a riding school is a Linked Centre?

FAQ Plus FAQ Minus

You can find all of our Linked Centres on the ‘Find a Pony Club’ page on our website! Alternatively, many riding schools will have our Pony Club logo attached to their website when advertising Pony Club activities. If in doubt, check our website!

Is there a charge for becoming a Linked Centre?

FAQ Plus FAQ Minus

To become a Pony Club Linked Centre, there’s a £75 one-off joining fee, which covers your set-up and an initial visit from your Centre Coordinator who will help you get the ball rolling.

Once you’re ready to launch, there’s an annual affiliation fee of £120 (just £10 per month!). If you’re joining mid-year, we’ll only invoice you for the remaining full months of the current period.

However, you’ll receive automatic inclusion in our Centre Revenue Share Scheme, which rewards you for every new and renewing Member—£5 for each Centre Member and £10 for each Centre Plus Member who joins or renews their membership at your Centre! These credits go toward your £120 annual affiliation fee, and any extra is paid directly to your Centre. It’s a unique Pony Club initiative designed to support your Centres growth.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of Members at a Linked Centre?
