National Championships Entries, Stabling & FAQs

Before leaving for the Championships, ensure:

Yes, but passports and vaccination records will still be checked at the Championships. Competitors should bring the horse’s actual passport with them to the event, as photos and photocopies will not be accepted.

Day Parking: Turn right on entry after security.

Ideally horses and ponies should remain on the lorry or trailer until passport, vaccination and microchip checks have been successfully completed and approval has been given. If you need to unload before this happens, please ask an official first.

Please take all the passports for each horse or pony you have onboard. The team will check the passport and vaccination records before returning them to you

The Passport Check-In Desk will be open daily from 8:00am to 9:00pm. It is strongly recommended that you arrive during these times to ensure everything runs smoothly

For overnight stabling: Report to the Stable Manager on arrival and follow their instructions. Your details and stable number will be noted, and your passport and horse will be checked the following morning between 7:00am and 8:00am.

The Passport Check Team will review your horse’s vaccination record using The Pony Club’s vaccination checking system to confirm that it meets current requirements

You will be given an approved card. Return to your vehicle with your passport and approved card and a Microchip Checker will come to your vehicle to verify your horse’s microchip against the passport before you are authorised to unload and proceed any further.

The microchip scan confirms that the horse presented at the Championships is the same horse identified in the passport.

The horse will not be permitted to enter the event until the issue has been resolved. If it cannot be resolved, unfortunately the horse will need to leave the site

You can bring all passports to the Passport Check-In Desk at the same time. Once the passports have been approved, each horse will be scanned individually to verify identity before being authorised to enter the event

If necessary, the first horse may be unloaded to allow safe access to subsequent horses for microchip scanning. Event staff will advise if this is required
