What is the inspiration behind your artwork?
From a very young age the pony club showing jumping at Burghley horse trials has always been a dream of mine. I used to sit under the “south notts tree” as it was known, with friends. Only to feel a sense of admiration when looking up to older pony club members competing at this prestigious event. After years passing by at the end of the season I found myself chosen for this event. And now have been lucky to transform this dream into a reality. This painting of myself and pony Abby, reflects the hard work and dedication I have put into being able to complete at this event through training and competing through the seasons. As when I first started riding Abby I was told she wasn’t an easy pony and that I would be lucky to jump 90cm. Thanks to my mum, and our trainers and the South Notts Pony Club, that made my dream a reality.
