The Pony Club Nations Cup of Eventing Returns for 2026 with Exciting New Venue
Following a hugely successful inaugural event at Ballindenisk International Horse Trials in Ireland, The Pony Club Nations Cup of Eventing will return in 2026, bringing together young riders from across the Home Nations and the Republic of Ireland for another unforgettable celebration of Pony Club international team Eventing.
Hosted at Aspen Cooling Osberton International Horse Trials, running from 1st to 4th October, the Nations Cup will continue to provide Pony Club Members with the unique opportunity to represent their nation, compete alongside talented riders from across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, and experience the camaraderie, friendship and team spirit that makes The Pony Club so special.
Patrick Campbell, The Pony Club Eventing Chairman: “Our Members who went to Ballindenisk last year from The British Mainland, many travelling overseas for the first time, had such an enjoyable experience. It is wonderful that we now can return the opportunity for members from both The United Kingdom Pony Club and The Irish Pony Club and welcome them to Osberton, which is such a great venue for this competition.”
International Team Competition
The 2026 Nations Cup is set to welcome teams from England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland across One Star and Two Star levels.
Teams will consist of five riders, with the best four scores counting towards the team result, creating an exciting championship atmosphere throughout all three phases of competition.
A maximum of two teams each from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and The Republic of Ireland will be selected at both One- and Two-Star Levels.
The event will run within the Osberton International Horse Trials programme, with classes operating as CNC competitions.
More Than Just Competition
While competition remains at the heart of the Nations Cup, plans are underway to create an experience that reflects the values of The Pony Club, with opportunities for riders to learn, connect and enjoy being part of an international team environment. Organisers are exploring a programme of educational and social activities designed to complement the competition and help make the event a memorable experience for riders, families and supporters alike.
Stuart Buntine, Organiser of Osberton International Horse Trials, says: “We’re really excited to be hosting The Pony Club Nations Cup at Osberton. We’re constantly looking at new opportunities for younger and developing riders to experience international events, and all that the likes of Osberton have to offer. We look forward to showcasing their talent alongside the existing international classes at Osberton this Autumn.”
