This fantastic writing competition has been created so you can jump into your imagination and take along your favourite horse or pony!
You can write a short account of just a few hundred words, or create a piece full of amazing colour and emotion that would work well in a poem. If you are you reaching for the stars you could write a story that might take the full word allowance of 1500 words.
The competition deadline is May 22nd, so you still have plenty of time to write your winning entry. Although if you are in the 16 and over category they have extended the deadline to June 14th to accommodate current GCSE and A Level workload. You can also submit your entry in Welsh.
There are over 50 amazing prizes available which include a day at the races, lessons with top professionals, visits to some of the country's top yards and many more! They are also awarding special prizes in the youngest age group for 7 years and under!

It is time to launch our Art Competition! The theme for this year is "Equestrian Hopes and Dreams".
This is an opportunity for you to let your imagination flow through on to paper, think positively about past memories for inspiration, or dream about a future of possibilities.
We have a diverse group of award winning, experienced judges lined up to be part of this competition. They will be looking for a well thought out, well painted or drawn picture that successfully conveys the idea being pictured. They will be looking for originality, a flair for colour or drawing, and good use of materials. This year we will also accept artwork produced digitally, we are aware this medium is popular and can produce artwork to a high standard.
The national winner will have the opportunity to have their artwork displayed within The Pony Club Central Office for visitors to view and at prestigious events planned for the future. We will ensure we recognise the talent of our winner in the best ways possible and we have some exciting ideas for when restrictions are lifted!
There are three separate age categories: 11 years and Under, 12-16 Years, and 17 Years and Over and the competition is open to all Pony Club members around the world.
To give you enough time to produce your work of art the closing date for entries is June 30th.
For more detail about the competition and to view previous years entries for inspiration, visit our Art Competition website.

Staff have been working really hard to create the peer sharing platform “The Pony Club Shared Resources”. We are using Google Drive to save and share ideas and resources. All branches and Area Reps have an existing Google-based email which will give them access to the suite of Google apps. Centres and coaches will need a Google account to access this drive and we will be working over the next few days to develop the permission to allow access. In the meantime, we would ask that people support each other and share their expertise and develop our community resource. Go to https://drive.google.com and log in with the branch email and click the “Shared Drives” tab.
We plan to share these alternative activities across social media, so please do take photos and post with the hashtag #PonyClubCarryOn so that we can share nationally some of the great ideas and fun you are all having.
