The Hiho Silver Best Turned Out prizes were awarded to Emily Worsdale with Topografik, representing England Blue, and Leo Cleere with Norebrook Fortuna, representing Ireland, in recognition of their smart presentation and beautifully turned-out horses.
With all combinations accepted, anticipation was high as competitors looked ahead to the first phase of competition.
Friday – Dressage Day
Friday saw an early start as the dressage tests got underway bright and early in the main arenas. There were plenty of impressive performances, with beautiful riding and some excellent tests produced by all four teams.
By the end of the first phase, the team leaderboard had started to take shape, with England Blue establishing a commanding lead. Emily Lawson led the individual standings for England Blue with a fantastic score of just 24.3 penalties. England Red sat in second place, followed by Scotland in third and Ireland in fourth.
With the first scores on the board, the competition was well underway, but there was still plenty to play for as the jumping phases approached.
Saturday – Show Jumping
Saturday brought the first jumping phase, with combinations putting their precision and accuracy to the test in the show jumping arena. The results brought the first shake-up to the individual leaderboard, adding further excitement as the competition progressed.
However, the team standings remained unchanged, with England Blue continuing to lead the way, followed by England Red, Scotland and Ireland.
Emily Lawson maintained her individual lead after adding just 4.0 penalties to her dressage score. With another impressive performance under her belt, she headed into the final phase in pole position. However, with cross-country still to come, nothing was guaranteed.
Sunday – Cross-Country and Final Results
Sunday brought the biggest test of the competition: the cross-country phase. With team and individual placings still to be decided, all eyes were on the final phase as combinations tackled the course in a bid to secure their place on the podium.
The course provided a good test for horse and rider, challenging combinations while producing some fantastic performances. In a brilliant end to the competition, every combination crossed the finish line, contributing a counting score for their team. The horses finished full of running, and there were plenty of smiles all round.
As the final scores were confirmed, England Blue celebrated a fantastic victory, having led the team standings from start to finish. Scotland secured second place, followed by England Red in third and Ireland in fourth.
The individual podium was equally impressive, with Emily Lawson completing a superb start-to-finish victory after maintaining her lead throughout all three phases. Emily Worsdale claimed second place, while Neve Webber secured third.
A special award also went to Sophie Jackson, who was recognised as the highest climber in the standings following dressage.

With just the cross-country phase remaining, the competition was still far from decided.
Sunday – Cross-Country and Final Results
Jumping in reverse order for the cross-country phase put the pressure firmly on the overnight leaders. With a big and technical track set out to test horse and rider combinations, the leaderboard was always likely to see some movement.
The England Blue team rose to the challenge, with three riders finishing on their dressage scores and all four team members producing clear cross-country rounds inside the time. This secured their place at the top of the podium. Congratulations to Isabella Moreton, Mia Jarrett, Megan Pocock, Dorothy Ashmore and Lamorna May from the England Blue team.
Wales held onto their overnight second place to finish as runners-up, while Scotland White, who had maintained fifth position throughout much of the competition, climbed into third place overall.
A fabulous horse wash-down area at the finish welcomed competitors home alongside their teammates and supporters. Aspen Cooling, who kindly provided ice for the event, helped ensure the best possible post-cross-country care for the horses.
