The Pony Club Nations Cup of Eventing Team Announcements
Following the hugely successful inaugural Pony Club Nations Cup of Eventing at Ballindenisk International Horse Trials in Ireland, the competition returns in 2026, bringing together talented young riders from across the Home Nations and the Republic of Ireland for another exciting celebration of international team eventing.
Hosted at Aspen Cooling Osberton International Horse Trials from 1st to 4th October, the Nations Cup offers Pony Club Members a unique opportunity to represent their nation, compete alongside some of the most promising young event riders, and experience the camaraderie, friendship and team spirit that lie at the heart of The Pony Club.
The 2026 competition will feature four English teams, comprising two 2* teams and two 1* teams. Joining them will be two 1* teams and one 2* team from Scotland, one 1* team from Wales, and one 1* team from Northern Ireland, as well as teams from the Republic of Ireland, creating a truly international competition.
Interest in this year’s event was exceptionally high, with a record number of applications received for the England teams. The standard of applications was outstanding, making selection incredibly competitive. To ensure as many riders as possible have the opportunity to experience Nations Cup competition, several applicants have accepted places within other national teams where spaces were available. This not only reflects the strength and depth of talent within Pony Club Eventing but will also contribute to a highly competitive and exciting championship.

The competition will get underway on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd with the dressage phase, before competitors take on the show jumping on Saturday 3rd. The final phase, cross-country, will take place on Sunday 4th, followed by the Prize Giving ceremony where the 2026 Pony Club Nations Cup Champions will be crowned.
The Pony Club Nations Cup of Eventing is proudly supported by Aspen Cooling Osberton International Horse Trials, BEDE Events, The Pony Club Eventing Committee and British Eventing. Their continued support helps provide young riders with a unique opportunity to gain experience of international team competition while proudly representing their nation.
With teams now selected and preparations underway, anticipation is building for what promises to be an exciting and memorable week of competition, showcasing the talent, teamwork and sportsmanship of Pony Club Members from across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
