Sport Structures fundraising to support The Pony Club’s charitable work

The Pony Club was delighted to be named Sport Structures’ Charity of the Year for 2025/26, marking the beginning of an exciting partnership focused on improving access to equestrian opportunities for young people across the UK.

Throughout August, the Sport Structures team will be taking part in a range of fundraising activities that promote wellbeing, teamwork and physical activity. Colleagues from both organisations will be getting involved in a ‘Collective Kilometre Challenge’ to raise vital funds and awareness, helping more young people access opportunities they may not otherwise have. Additionally, the Sport Structures team will be volunteering at The Pony Club’s National Championships, which supports over 3000 young people to compete in grassroots equestrian sport.

The partnership is built on a shared belief that every young person should have the chance to develop, grow and thrive through sport and physical activity. By making equestrian experiences more accessible, the fundraising will help remove barriers and enable more children and young people to build confidence, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and develop lasting friendships.

Funds raised will directly support The Pony Club’s charitable work, helping more young people experience the physical, mental and social benefits that come from spending time with horses and being part of a supportive community. In 2025, The Pony Club engaged with over 1,600 young people, allowing for over 300 funded community riding lessons across 45 community groups. All donations will go towards The Pony Club’s charitable projects, offering opportunity, community and interaction with horses.

Anyone wishing to support the fundraising efforts can donate via the Sport Structures JustGiving page:

Together, we can help more young people discover the confidence, skills and sense of belonging that sport and equestrian activity can provide.
