Introducing the NEW Horsemanship Home International

The Pony Club is delighted to announce the launch of the Horsemanship Home International — an exciting new Four Nations competition bringing together the very best of Pony Club knowledge, horsemanship and teamwork.

This unique event will showcase Members’ skills across both Horse & Pony Care and Quiz, combining practical ability with depth of knowledge in a dynamic and engaging format.

🏆 Competition Format

Teams will compete across eight rounds, rotating through a variety of challenges designed to test a wide range of skills including practical and theory-based activities linked to the B–AH Tests, allowing Members to demonstrate their hands-on knowledge and horsemanship skills and a series of engaging rounds testing knowledge, teamwork and quick thinking.

To be eligible, Members must be aged 16 or over on 1 January 2026 and working at B Test to AH Test level. Applicants should also have taken part in either the Dengie Quiz or Blue Cross Horse & Pony Care Area or Championship competitions within the past two years, ensuring a strong foundation of both knowledge and experience.

The application process will involve submitting an online form, alongside a CV and a reference from your DC, Centre Proprietor or Area Representative. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend an online interview week commencing11th May.

We’re on the lookout for Team Managers

The Pony Club is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to take on the role of Team Manager for the exciting new Horsemanship Home International. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with talented Members and play a key role in preparing and supporting a national team.

As Team Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring your team in the lead up to the competition. This will include organising and delivering a minimum of three online training sessions, helping Members develop their knowledge, confidence and teamwork. You will also act as the main point of contact for competitors, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the preparation period.

On the day of the competition, you will attend in person to manage and support your team, helping to create a positive, organised and encouraging environment so that Members can perform at their best.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development of Pony Club Members competing at B Test to AH Test level, supporting them as they take part in a high-level, national competition.

Please note that this is a voluntary position, but one that provides a unique chance to be involved in an exciting new initiative while mentoring and inspiring the next generation of Pony Club talent.
