Become a Volunteer

Introduction

The Pony Club is incredibly fortunate to be able to call upon thousands of volunteers across our Branches and Centres throughout the UK – without their help we would not be able to provide young riders with such fantastic opportunities!

Whether you’re an experience equestrian or just starting out, volunteering at The Pony Club is a great way to develop new skills, build lasting friendships and contribute to a cause you care about.  If you’d like to get involved with volunteering there are a wide variety of roles available, from tack checking and scoring to catering and stewarding.  Even if you’re not horsey, there’s always something to do!

How To Get Involved

Volunteering for a Branch

Branches are run by a volunteer committee who perform all of the administrative tasks required to run the Branch and organise rallies and events. If you’d like to volunteer at your local Branch, you can find your nearest one via our club search page – just get in touch with them to find out how you can help!

Volunteering for a Centre

Although Pony Club Centres are commercially run ventures in their own right, they may still be looking for people to help put up show jumps, accompany trips out etc. You can contact your local Centre via our club search page to find out what opportunities are available!

Volunteer at the JCB National Championships

Volunteering at The Pony Club JCB National Championships is a truly enriching experience.  As a volunteer, you get to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the event, surrounded by enthusiastic young riders and their horses and ponies.

The Pony Club JCB Championships is a celebration of equestrian skills, your role is crucial in ensuring everything runs smoothly.  From assisting with event setup and managing activities to providing support to participants and spectators, every task you undertake contributes to the success of the event.

Volunteering here not only allows you to give back to The Pony Club community but also to be part of a wonderful event that promotes the love and welfare of horses and ponies and equestrian sports.

2025 sees The Pony Club JCB Championships returns to Offchurch Bury in Warwickshire from the 8th to the 16th August.
