What an incredible event! The Pony Club was proudly represented by both current and former Members, showcasing the very best of equestrian sport.

We were honoured to host a fantastic talk on the Insights Stage with 2* Eventer Flo Carter and, multiple Olympian and 5* Winner, Pippa Funnell MBE.

Introduction to the Riders

Pippa Funnell

A true legend in the world of Eventing! Did you know Pippa started her journey with the Eridge Branch of the Pony Club?

From those early days, Pippa soared to become one of the sport’s greatest, with achievements like:
🏆 Winning the first-ever Rolex Grand Slam (Kentucky, Badminton, and Burghley) in 2003,
🥈 Olympic Team Silver in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, plus an individual Bronze,
🎖️ Two-time Burghley winner and three-time Badminton champion,
🥇 European Champion.

Flo Carter – @flocartereventing

A current South Oxfordshire Hunt Member, a rising 2* Event Rider, and a popular equine content creator. Flo’s social media journey is all about sharing the real ups and downs of eventing – no filters, just the raw passion for the sport! 🎥

Flo recently made waves with a top-ten finish in the EQUIDRY Chairman’s Cup at the JCB Pony Club Championships 2024 and has built a strong online following, with over 53K Instagram followers and 6K YouTube subscribers! 🌟

Flo and Pippa shared invaluable experiences about their time within The Pony Club and its pivotal role in shaping their success in the equestrian world. Tom McEwen, former VWH Member, even joined in towards the end!🏇

LeMieux Pony Club Team Show Jumping

The excitement built as the top 6 teams jumped off for their final placings. It was anyone’s to win as four teams carried forward 0 penalties from the first round, and two teams were just a single pole behind them.

🏆The Warwickshire Hunt were crowned Champions for the second year in a row!🏆
🥈 Belvoir finished 2nd,
🥉 West Norfolk finished 3rd.

BSPS Gold Cup Final

Congratulations to all Pony Club members who competed in the prestigious BSPS Gold Cup final at Burghley this weekend. The competition, modelled after The Burghley Young Event Horse Class, showcased top performance ponies, and featured an exciting reverse-order format for the final Show Jumping phase.

A special thanks to Sheila Clifford, who generously donated a £100 Training Bursary to the highest-placed current Pony Club members in each of the 80cm, 90cm, and 100cm classes. The lucky recipients were Libby James (East Cheshire), Anya Dewey-Clarke (Grove), and Imogen Pohl (Essex Hunt North).
