The Pony Club Quiz is a chance for members to test their equestrian knowledge in a fun and friendly team environment.
Teams are made up of:
- 1 Member 12 years & under
- 1 Member 14 years & under
- 1 Member 16 years & under
- 1 Member of any age
All ages will be taken from the 1st January of the competition year.
N.B. A Team may consist of four Members under the age of 12 if you wish. In this instance, the Team will be asked to nominate which Member will answer the more advanced questions. One AH Test holder in each Team is allowed to take part in each National Quiz Team.
National Quiz 2021
The National Quiz Final 2021 is for the Branch and Centre teams who qualified at Area Competitions.
Because of the uncertainty around Covid-19, the Final will once again be held online via Zoom on Saturday 24th April 2021 at 4pm. Invitations to the Zoom call will be issued nearer the time following a validated entry.

- Pony Club Rules – Eventing and Endurance
- The Systems – Nervous
- Children’s Equestrian Literature
- Riding Away from Home (Countryside Access, Beach Riding, Map Reading, Road Rider)
- Pairs Round – Alphabet Soup (Junior – Points of the Horse / Senior – Ailments)
- Picture Round – Equestrian Equipment

International Quiz 2020
In 2020 the UK were due to host the International Quiz Exchange but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the International Quiz was held online on Saturday 5th December.
Teams are to be made up of four members aged 16 years to 25 years old. All ages will be taken from the 1st January of the competition year.

National Quiz Final 2020
The National Quiz Final 2020 was for the Branch and Centre teams who qualified at Area Competitions in the Spring of 2020.
Because of the Covid-19 lockdown, the Final ran online on Saturday 14th November.

- 2nd - Silvermere Equestrian Centre
- 3rd - Amman Valley
Following this competition, the four highest placed team members aged 16 or over were selected to represent the UK in the Pony Club International Quiz to be held online on Saturday 5th December. Congratulations to:

What to Wear
We recommend Teams wear their Pony Club branded sweatshirts and or T-shirts (shirt and tie are not compulsory), with smart, comfy trousers (no ripped jeans) and suitable indoor footwear.
