Introduction

The Pony Club is pleased to announce the winners of the “Design a Dressage Test” competition, which provided members with the opportunity to design a Dressage test to be ridden by a member of British Equestrian's World Class Performance Team!

Thank you

The Pony Club Dressage Committee along with the three athletes from British Equestrian would like to take this opportunity to share their thanks to all who entered the competition at Novice, Intermediate and Open levels.

We are very proud of all your careful planning with the tests and you've very much inspired us to include some of your movements in test for the future.

Novice Design a Dressage Test Winner

The Pony Club Dressage Committee along with Bella Innes Ker for British Equestrian's Podium Pathway for Dressage selected the Novice Dressage Test written by:

Sadie Nicholls from Green Acres Equestrian Centre as the winner for this class.

Bella's feedback on this test "A well thought through test to ride. It uses a large amount of the arena space and had a good variety of selected movements, ensuring the rider is thinking ahead and planning their next movement. Fantastic effort!"

Intermediate Design a Dressage Test Winner

The selector Charlotte Fry who is part of the Podium Pathway Dressage team, and The Pony Club Dressage Committee, selected Grace Tomkins from the Atherstone Hunt Branch of The Pony Club winner of the Intermediate class.

Lottie's feedback on the test was "It was a super nice test to ride, flowed really well and very much like the use of the centre line in the test."

Open Design a Dressage Test Winner

Lara Butler from British Equestrian's Podium Pathway Dressage Team worked with the Pony Club Dressage committee to judge fierce entries in the Open class for this competition.

The winner of this class is Lucy Smith from the Deveron Branch of The Pony Club.

Feedback from Lara on the test is "A great test which flowed really well. There is a good use of the paces, arena and different exercises within the paces. The symmetry of the test is fantastic, made me really think and a good challenge to ride- well done!"
