Tetrathlon is a team and individual competition comprised of Shooting, Swimming, Running and Riding.
Qualification:
To be entered into Area competitions, each branch does it differently, so members and their parents/guardians need to keep in touch with their sports team managers and their DCs if they want to put themselves forward for an Area competition.
Some Branches may have rules about number of rallies or competitions someone has done before they go to an Area event.
At the JCB Pony Club Championships for Tetrathlon, the competition levels consist of:
These are teams of 4 or 5 and can be a mix of boys and girls. Stepping stones do not ‘Qualify’ for Champs, as they are chosen by Regional Managers before Champs.
Regional team managers take into account a lot of factors to choose teams, including previous competition scores, area, availability etc. They can enter 2 teams per region to the stepping stones competition.
