Sport Structures Announce The Pony Club as Charity of the Year
Sport Structures has chosen The Pony Club as its Charity of the Year for 2025/26, marking the start of an exciting partnership to widen access to equestrian opportunities for young people.
Sport Structures is an award-winning education organisation with a mission to transform sport and physical activity by empowering and inspiring people. Their focus on creating positive social change aligns with The Pony Club’s charitable projects, which aim to make equestrianism more inclusive and accessible.
“We’re proud to support the charitable aims of The Pony Club, as we share a cultural synergy in our commitment to helping young people pursue their passions and realise their potential. Through our expertise and fundraising efforts, we look forward to strengthening The Pony Club’s ability to extend opportunities to communities that have traditionally been underrepresented in equestrian activities across the UK.”
– Kath Percival, Chief Executive Officer, Sport Structures

The partnership was launched at The Pony Club National Championships, where the Sport Structures team volunteered across the event – from dressage score collecting to supporting the show jumping arena and providing transport for competitors and spectators.
Over the next 12 months, Sport Structures will work closely with The Pony Club to deliver a programme of initiatives, including fundraising for Charity Projects and consultancy support to reach more young people from underserved communities. The collaboration will also strengthen educational opportunities, with Sport Structures becoming The Pony Club’s Apprenticeship Partner to help build future capacity and impact.
“This partnership represents a fantastic opportunity to expand the reach of The Pony Club’s charitable projects. By working alongside Sport Structures, we can open doors for more young people, particularly those who may not otherwise have access to equestrian activities, to discover the joy, confidence, and community that The Pony Club brings. We are delighted to see how much potential there is to make a lasting difference together.”
– Heidi Lockyer, Head of Charity, The Pony Club
