Pony Club Members HOYS Successes

This year, our Pony Club members shone bright at the prestigious Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), showcasing incredible talent, dedication, and sportsmanship. From thrilling performances to standout achievements, we are so proud to see our riders take centre stage and represent the spirit of Pony Club with such distinction. Here’s a look back at their inspiring successes!

Holly Jones and Trevadlock Golden Pearl

Holly and her pony have been part of the West Kent Meopham Pony Club for two years now. They competed in the Foxhunter Championship at HOYS and came 4th!

Congratulations!

Kaitlyn Marshal and Miracle

Kaitlyn (15) is part of the Galloway Pony Club in Scotland. She broke and produced her homebred Clydesdale, Miracle last November. Their first show together was at Kilmacoln where they qualified for Blair Horse Trials and then went on to win the golden ticket to HOYS! Kaitlyn was the youngest rider to qualify for the Barbour Ridden Heavy Horse of the Year Final.

Congratulations!

Anya Dewey Clarke and Jim

Anya joined the pony club aged 9 around the same time that she began her competitive showing career with wins at HOYS in Lead Rein and First Ridden classes, as well as winning the First Ridden at RI. After taking up show jumping during lockdown she emerged onto the show jumping scene as a bright new talent with an incredible 1-2 Springboard win – the youngest to ever hold the title! In 2023 Anya was thrilled to have qualified for both the 128 Grand Prix Final and the Pony Club Mini Major at London International Horse Show with her pony Jim, having been surprised with him for her birthday only the year before at the same show. Anya and partner Paul Gaff had the best time in the Mini Major, coming 4th place with just a second between them and 1st place!

Alongside competing Anya loves hacking, rides on the beach, xc and and spending time grooming and loving her ponies.

Congratulations!
