The Pony Club celebrates 90th anniversary with commemorative book

The Pony Club is proud to announce that its 90th anniversary celebratory book has now landed fresh from print and is available for members past and present to purchase and enjoy.

Marking 90 years of fun, friendship and horsemanship, the coffee table book charts the origins of The Pony Club and explores the fantastic stories that have come out of it over the last nine decades.

There is something for everyone to enjoy in this new title; stirring memory in those who’ve enjoyed a relationship with The Pony Club as well as helping new and future members learn about the heritage of such a special organisation.

Readers will be able to meet some of the many characters who make The Pony Club what it is and re-live some of the great moment from its rich history. Find out about the great ‘ostrich’ chase at the Horse of the Year Show, how a Pony Club instructor got a starring role on Blue Peter and what the Horsham Hunt Branch Secretary considers to be the secrets of her success after an incredible 71 years in the role.

Whether a Pony Club member past or present, this book will help evoke everything that you love or have loved about The Pony Club. It is a glorious walk down memory lane and a great keepsake for pony lovers of all ages.

Marcus Capel, Pony Club Chief Executive commented: “The Pony Club’s 90th birthday was a wonderful opportunity to pull together this amazing mosaic of memories, stories and anecdotes from those in the Pony Club’s huge network of supporters throughout the last nine decades.

“There were so many fantastic things to celebrate in the book, we were truly spoilt for choice. From profiling our nine fantastic Pony Club sports to sharing information about the branches and centres that have grown around the globe there was so much to share – and not forgetting our members’ horses and ponies, who I’m sure would have many tales to tell of their own.

“I would like to thank everyone involved with the book from head office staff, our publishers Newhall and of course everyone who contributed stories and photos, it has been a huge team effort.”
