Pony Racing Presents the Points Series winners at Ascot Racecourse

RaceTech Points Series

The Pony Club Pony Racing Points Series runs throughout the Racing Season and allows all members participating at Pony Club Race days to gain points based on placings and participation. The aim of the Points Series is to recognise members who are performing well in their race and encourage them to progress in Racing.

The Points Series came to a close in October and we are pleased to share the top three Pony Club members in the 128 cm, 138 cm and 148 cm divisions.

The 128 cm division saw two new members be placed in their first year of Pony Racing and the results are:

The 138 cm division saw stiff competition this season, Freddie who was placed 2nd told us “I felt excited and happy as this was my first-year racing. The ponies were great, and I plan to work hard, get a few more wins next season so I can become a professional jockey when I’m older. In the future I would like to become a jump jockey and go on to be a trainer.”.

I would like to become a flat jockey, and if I grow then a National Hunt jockey. If I grow too much then I would like to work in racing.”

The Pony Club Pony Racing Committee would like to express their pride in what each and every Branch and Centre member alike have achieved this season. They very much look forwards to seeing what next season holds and wish all jockeys the best for the future.

The Pony Club would like to give special thanks to Race Teach for their kind support and encouragement during 2019 and encouragement of the members to keep racing. Kate Hills from Race Tech explained “we are very proud to support The Pony Club Pony Racing and look forwards to seeing where these jockeys progress to in the future.
