What is the inspiration behind your artwork?
Coral joined the pony club this year and the inspiration behind the drawing is Coral with her new pony ‘Blue’. Blue is a little grey Welsh section A. Coral joined pony club after camp last year but she’s used memories of riding Blue since then both at our yard and at OBH events to cone up with her seasonal plan. Spring is a memory of Coral riding her share pony Poppy who she rode before Blue. She often went on a lovely hack and would ask me to tuck pretty spring flowers in Poppy’s bridle. Coral has simply exchanged Blue for Poppy as she wanted her drawing to represent their growing partnership. Summer is a memory from the OBH summer picnic ride for the young riders which she loved. They got to canter up a grassy hill to their friends. Autumn is celebrating Coral’s Birthday with Blue and her friends. Winter is Coral imagining her and Blue in a snowy setting and she’s added me dressed as Santa to lead her out.
