Test Changes

 

CHANGES FOR 2008:

The Riding and Road Safety Test will now be called 'Road Rider'.

CHANGES FOR 2007:

A TEST:

Candidates may now take the A Test a maximum of four times.

B Test Riding Additions:

CHANGES FOR 2006:

LUNGEING

The 2006 Lungeing Test will be effective from January 1st 2006. This test may be taken after B Test or B Horse and Pony Care. It is necessary to pass the Lungeing Test BEFORE attempting the AH Test. The Lungeing Test syllabus is available from the Pony Club at a price of 10p

AH TEST

AH Candidates WILL be allowed to take the test at a Centre where they have trained.

RIDING & ROAD SAFETY TEST

C Test candidates must have TRAINED for and passed their Riding and Road Safety Achievement badge before being awarded the C Test.

B Test candidates must have completed and passed either the Pony Club or BHS Riding and Road Safety Test before attempting either part of the B Test.

 

CHANGES IN 2005:

The Training Committee met in January and a new AH Syllabus for 2005 has been written, replacing the ‘A Test Horse and Pony Care 2002’.

This new syllabus is now used in all AH Tests. All AH candidates and examiners should read the new syllabus thoroughly to ensure that they are familiar with it before taking the test.

NOTE: Unsuccessful AH Test Candidates are not allowed to retake the test within 3 months of failing the previous test.
