Her show name was Morning Mist. She was a 7yr old grey Mare. I loved Misty 2 bits and competed in show jumping and cross country and hunting at pony club. I went to 3 pony club camps on Misty. Misty died of Colic 2 years ago and it took me ages 2 find another pony that I could trust as much as Misty. I now have one called Bentley who I have sent in a pic of. I would come home and catch Misty and talk to her all about my day and groom her. I would put her in her stables to eat and then ride and then let her cool off and put her out. Misty was such a cool pony we won over 150 rosettes as I had her from when I was 6 till when I was 12.I think Misty is gorge and she will neva b forgotten.

This is me and my pony Irish Bits n Bobs, otherwise known as Sparky, at a recent hunter trial, where we came second. He has only just turned five, and he loves his jumping- the problems come when we're schooling him! He is a 14.2 Irish Sports Horse and I think we'll be able to go quite far!
First UK Carriage Dog Trials
This summer 12 year old Charlie from Goodwood Pony Club competed in the first UK Carriage Dog Trials and became the youngest ever 'road trialer' in the world! The competition is very popular in the States and is designed to test the obedience and stamina of pure bred Dalmation dogs.
The trials are now run with two classes, one for carriages with the dog running alongside or under the carriage, or for riders, with the dalmation running 'to hock' alongside the pony on the nearside.
Charlie entered the bronze standard road dog trials with her 1year old dalmation 'Domino' and her appaloosa pony 'Indie' who is more usually seen competing at Pony club show jumping events or affiliated BSJA competitions. The bronze trial involves 5 obedience tests - where the dog responds to commands from the rider, followed by a 10 km endurance course with the dog running alongside the pony!
It was a wonderful event, with 25 dalmations let lose to play after the competition, looking like a scene from a Disney film! Competitors came from all over the country with spotty dogs and (mainly) spotty ponies - quite a sight!
I wish we could report that Charlie won the bronze award - but unfortunately Domino found the crowds and other dogs too distracting and did not complete all the obedience tests to the satisfaction of the judge! But we will definitely go again next year after some serious practice………….!
