Calling all members....

There's lots to do to make sure 2008 is the best year yet. Pony Club is for all to enjoy and we would welcome any comments, thoughts and ideas you may have for Dare Valley Pony Club in 2008, or if there is anything you feel should be addressed, please feel free to use the suggestion box at the rallies, or talk to or email a Committee Member. We are all volunteers and anything we do should be in support of all the members. Likewise we rely on each other for support.

Don't forget to send your news items and photos in so that they can appear on the website - and keep checking the calendar and Newsletter for upcoming events.

Look out for new events this year, including "mini camp" and Le Trek.

Excellent cross country and good show jumper, especially outdoors. Would make super all round pony club pony but needs rider to match her enthusiasm. Has jumped 3' course. Very fast and potential pony racer. Lovely nature, currently wasted as present rider has lost interest. Good to box, shoe and in traffic.

NEWSFLASH - dates for your diary

29 August - Pony Club Fun day and Adult Gymkhana at Green Meadow. DVPC is one of the beneficiaries of adult gymkhana and regularly fields a team. Members - here's your chance to see how it really should be done (or not!) - Refreshments available.

21 Sept - Pencoed Indoor Rally, 10am - 1pm - to include flatwork, games and show jumping in the big school.

12 October - HOYS Trip for those that have requested a ticket. Coach fare will be approx £13.50 per person, to be paid on the day. Further details including times and pick up point to follow

25 October - Pencoed Indoor Rally, as above.

2 November - Pencoed Indoor Rally - 11am - 1pm in the small school.

15 November - Pencoed Indoor Rally, as per 2 Nov

FORTHCOMING EVENTS include.......

(dates to be advised) BHS Riding and Road Safety Certificate- one evening a week over ten weeks at Green Meadow, for up to 12 members. Must be age 12 or over and able to ride on roads unaccompanied to attend. Judith has kindly offered use of her own ponies if your own pony is not suitable i.e easily spooked or nervous. Please telephone Judith (01685 874961) if interested - only 12 spaces available - a fantastic opportunity to achieve this certifcate.

Show Jumping and Cross Country Team - Claire is putting together a Dare Valley team and cross country is held on Thursday evenings on the Pony Club field- if interested please call Claire on 07888 830499 with your details as soon as possible.
