The Dare Valley Branch was established in 1999 and is part of Pony Club Area 10.

The Pony Club is the number one organisation for young people who love ponies and riding. There are more than 43,000 Pony Club Members in Great Britain, belonging to either a Branch or a Centre - there are more than 350 of each of these. Membership of The Pony Club offers fun, friendship, training, events and competitions.

The Dare Valley Pony Club has approx 50 members, and meets regulary throughout the year, as often as the weather will allow - and when it doesn't we look to arrange "indoor" rallies. These may be "no pony required badge days" or, if available, hiring an indoor school for mounted rallies.

From October to early April, we meet on Sunday mornings, and during the spring and summer we also meet on Tuesday and sometimes Thursday evenings, weather permitting.

Rallies are held in Gelli Isaf field, between Llywdcoed and Trecynon, and we cover a range of activities including gymkhana, cross country, show jumping and schooling sessions. We encourage the members to suggest any changes, improvements etc they would like to see as part of the rallies including any new activities they would like to try. As a result, for 2008, we will be adding dressage and le trek to our list of activities for those who are interested.

These rallies prove to be great fun for children of all ages - and the "rally refreshments" always go down well!)

If you are interested in finding out more, please feel free to speak to a Committee Member (you will find contact details for some on the "Contacts" tab of this page), or if you know anyone who is already a member come along to a rally with them - your first one is free! It will be fun for you and for your pony.

HOYS - Bookings via the Pony Club have now closed and payment has now been made for the 35 requested tickets. If you are one of the 35 to request a ticket but have not yet paid , please send a cheque to Marilyn, Beth or Amanda, payable to Dare Valley Pony Club as soon as possible - tickets are £40 each and cover entry to both afternoon and evening shows on 12th October. Coach fare is separate and will be approx £13.50 per person, to be paid on the day.

The following hunter trials have been cancelled due to the weather:
