Tetrathlon

Our Tetrathlon is being held on 5^th and 6^th July. Shooting and Swimming on the Saturday and Riding and Running on the Sunday. This is open to all members so why not come and have a go. You’ll be put into teams, but anyone doing it for the first time must come along to a shooting practise. This is on Wednesdays 6.15 – 7.30 pm. If you cannot make this time ring me and I will sort out a different night. Under 8’s do bean bag throwing instead of shooting, Tadpoles and tiddlers ride in an enclosed ring. The riding schedules were sent out in the previous programme, if you have mislaid it please let me know.

Whaddon Chase: Our Tadpole team of Katie Young 3^rd Ind, Sian Chapple-Hyam 5^th Ind,

Sophie Hopkins and Isobel Pougatch came 4^th as a team.

Mini Boys: Charlie Dowdeswell 2^nd Ind

Junior Girls: Becky Young 5^th Ind

Once again a small group of us went down to Somerset to take part in the South West Tetrathlon, despite a wet riding day we ha a great time. Well done to Jess Brook who came 7^th Ind Open girls and Becky Young who was 9^th in the Junior Girls, this was a big competition with over 260 children taking part.

Callum Kennedy was invited to attend The Tetrathlon Training Course at Millfield during the Easter Holidays and has been selected to join the UK team to compete against the Americans, Canadians and Irish this summer. There will be three competitions, one in the South, one at the championships and the final in Southern Ireland. Well done Callum, let’s hope you train hard!
