Senior Team : Mat Fox on Flicker, Emily Tillet on Danni, Nicole Gwynne on Daisy, Jim Millard on Snoopy and Tyla Mcnaulty on Bubbles.
Junior Team : Eloise Page on Twizzle, Sophia Fox on Sovereign, Amie Eales on Molly and Suzy Smith on Kizzy 'Starting better than we could have ever imagined with the seniors taking 1st place in the 'bending' and 2nd in the 'mug' a disaster struck when a contriversial desision was made to eliminate the team from the 'old sock' race, losing crutial points and dropping our joint 1st place on the leader board. Every point became critical as they clawed their way back up, after some speedy racing and clean handovers the top two places that qualify for the ZONES came back into their reach. East Herts and Beds South fought tooth and nail for that coverted 2nd place taking it right to the end with a nail biting run off. Their skill and determination gave them the success they deserved taking 2nd place and now go through to the ZONES much to the thrill of the team and their supporters. Just when we were about to relax and have an ice-cream it was time for the juniors to begin. Starting with their favorite race - 'bending' our hearts sunk as it all went horridly wrong leaving us out of the very first final, but luck was on our side as another team was eliminated giving us a place in the final to grab some points. They were working hard together as a team and started to move up on the scoreboard. But disaster struck with that unlucky 'old sock' race and they didn't get into the final making them miss out on crutial points, dashing their hopes. However they kept strong and smiling and it soon became apparent that they were fighting for that 2nd place to reach the ZONES with East Herts again. This all came down to the final race '4 flag' Beds South were trailing 3 points behind and needed a miracle to grab that 2nd place against such a strong team. The girls rode with determination pushing their ponies to the limit. What a fantastic race they had done it, they came 2nd and are now going through to the ZONES with the seniors. An excellent day out with great results from both teams. Keep up the good work!!!

Due to the difficulty in getting an indoor school for our John Adams jumping
clinics some of these winter clinics may be held outside, so if your ponies are
shod it maybe prudent to ask your farrier to put stud holes in their back shoes
for extra grip.
The ground is usually good so John does not see a problem with this.
Farrier Michael Burgoyne DIP.WCF is an old Beds South Branch member and
is taking on new clients now
