Great news: Senior PPC team came 4th  and qualify for the Runners up Championships to try and get a place at HOYS.
Junior team finish 2nd at Zone and qualify for Junior Championships
 
 
 
HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW 2008......URGENT......PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THIS NOW AS WE HAVE   UNTIL 23RD AUGUST TO CONFIRM THE TICKETS ...... SO IDEALLY WE NEED PEOPLE TO CONTACT  ROSEMARY (01934 742672) TO BOOK YOUR SEATS.

THE PRICE IS THE SAME FOR AN ADULT OR A CHILD.
THE SEATING IS IN ROW F, ON SUNDAY 12th OCTOBER.

LEAVE WELLS AT 9AM AND LEAVE THE SHOW AT 5.30 PM.
IT IS OPEN TO NON MEMBERS AS WELL AS MEMBERS

Coach  will be max £14

Mendip Farmers Pony Club Fun Ride through the Worminster Downs

Sunday 7th September 2008

Between Wells & Shepton Mallet - Scarlet Withies, BA4 4AN

Start times 9.30 am – 1.30 pm – slower riders please come early

(Majority of ride through countryside that’s been kindly opened up, by local land-owners, for this one off chance to link bridleways – optional jumps)

10 miles (approx)     £15 per rider     £12  14yrs & under

6 miles (approx)     £12 per rider      £10 14 yrs & under

Proceeds to Mendip Farmers Pony Club and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance

JUNIOR AREA SHOW JUMPING

If you are interested in being considered for the above competition and are eligible please contact Louise Phillips on 01761 411197 or 07815523979.

You need to be 12 or under on 1st January 2008
Your pony must be 14.2hh(148") or under
You need to be jumping 2'9" comfortably
You must have attended at least 3 rallies
You will need to be available on Tuesday 26th August for the competition and also be able to attend several training sessions with Mandy Bown on  thursday evenings through july and august.

80% FOR YOUR SECOND HAND ITEMS

All parents out there please would you like to earn yourselves some money!!Pony Club takes 20% you have the rest, so could you look out your outgrown and un-wanted items from your cupboards and tack rooms and let me have them thank you. If possible labelled with your name and how much you would like. (We do reserve the right to reduce this after two years to gain a sale). Once I have had them all in and put on record we are hoping to organise either a dismounted rally or a social get together or both; so that parents and children can have the opportunity to purchase horsey clothing or tack before camps.  It won’t then be such a financial burden to us all!!

This year the club needs to do some serious fund raising. We are looking for parents who would be able to help with sourcing sponsorship; help is also needed from any one who is knowledgeable about printing and compiling schedules.
