FERNIE SCORE GOLD & SILVER AT PC CHAMPS
Jessica Watts, Plum Turner and Sophie How achieved a great result at the Pony Club Championships at Draycott House on 21 August. Jessica won the Open Horse Trials having led from the dressage stage and Plum Turner came second with a double clear. Sophie How came second in the Intermediate competition and won the best cross country ride prize presented by Christy Wright.
The performance puts the Fernie - one of the smallest branches in the country - at the top of the Pony Club performance stakes following Philippa Thomson, Jessica Watts, Sophie How and Tommy How's dressage medals earlier in the week.
JUNIOR SHOW AUGUST 5
Well done to the Seniors who ran and Juniors who braved the rain to take part in a very soggy show at Lubenham Lodge on Tuesday. Everyone had a good time inspite of the soggy conditions and many rosettes were won.
Thank you to the Tarrant family for organising another successful show

Well done to the five Fernie teams who competed at Burghley in the Area Horse Trials. It was a record number of riders for the Fernie and everyone enjoyed the experience. In the Intermediate class Sophie How came third in her section, Lara Thompson came 5th and Emma Sanders 8th. On Sunday the Novice teams had mixed fortunes and our Fernie B team came 6th. Congratulations to Rebecca Smith (6th), Eleanor Saunders Watson (7th) and Michael Lees (10th) and Eve Rossi. Christy Clowes and Tara Rattray competed as individuals and Christy came 5th.

CONGRATULATIONS
Well done Eliza Stoddart and Toddy for coming 5th and contributing to the British team silver at the FEI Pony Eventing Championships in Avenches, Switzerland on 24 - 27 July.
Eliza and Gina have produced Killacoran Blue - to give the 14.2 grey gelding his full name - since he was a youngster, attending rallies and camp. Eliza and Toddy have grown in confidence and ability over the last two seasons and they represented the Fernie in the Open Horse Trials at the PC Championships last summer.
We wish them all the best in this exciting new phase in their eventing career
