For all cross-country riding (including Eventing, Tetrathlon, Horse Trials, tests and training) over fences 0.80m high and above, a jockey skull cap (no peak on hat) must be worn. It is also strongly recommended that a jockey skull cap is worn for cross country riding over lower fences.
IMPORTANT CHANGE OF DATES FOR THE OCTOBER HALF TERM
We have organised a trip to visit The King's Troop in London on Tuesday 28th October and therefore the rally at Golden Cross will now take place on Friday 31st October. The Halloween Party that was arranged for that Friday will now take place on Thursday 30th October starting at 2.30pm (not 2pm). There are still a few places left for the trip - please contact Mrs Tindall if you would like to go.
The Eridge Hunt Branch was established in 1935 and is part of Pony Club Area 11. It is one of the larger branches, with a current membership of over 200.
We hold practices throughout the year in all disciplines for all age groups. The highlight of the year is the week of the four-day rallies during the summer holidays, held in Eridge Park by kind permission of our patron, the Marquess of Abergavenny.
Camps are held for all ages: a week-long residential camp for the seniors and shorter, non-residential camps for the junior members. These are always very popular and hugely enjoyed.
The branch offers the opportunuity to compete in the majority of the Pony Club disciplines: Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping, Mounted Games, Tetrathlon, Pony Racing and Polocrosse. Many of our members represent the branch at one or more of these disciplines in Interbranch competitions.
